My name is A.F. Crowell and I am the new author of the Torn Series.

I live in Charleston, SC with my husband and our two boys. We have two dogs, Diesel, a German Shepherd and Dez, a black Labrador Retriever. We love to spend time at the beach or with family. My greatest accomplishment is without a doubt, my two smart, handsome boys.

I wasn't always an avid reader. Since that time, I've more than made up for it. When I'm not writing, I average 4 to 5 books a week. I love romance with alpha males, some paranormal romance and YA novels. 

Pushed was the first book I wrote and is the part of a five book series. Never in a million years did I ever think I'd write a book but one night I woke up from a dream and I started typing, from there the Torn Series was born. 

What books have most influenced your life most?
I would say Twilight. Sounds ridiculous, but I didn't really read until those books. I actually refused to read or watch them until my husband made me sit down and watch the first movie one night. He had seen the ending and wanted to see the beginning. He thought I would like it. I only agreed because we were snowed in. After Twilight, I was hooked. I started reading romance and YA. Haven't stopped since.

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? 
Nope, totally pulled it out of thin air!
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? 
Ugh, grammar. I hated English 101. I almost failed it. So for me, it’s challenging to remember all of the grammar rules, like prepositions. I hate trying to remember all of that crap.

What makes you laugh/cry? 
Laugh, sarcasm and smart-ass remarks. Crying, damn near anything, LOL. No, just kidding. Heart break and anguish. Pain. Oh and the Budweiser commercial. You know the one where the guy leaves the dog at home to go out drinking but doesn’t come home, but then he does come home and tells the dog he drank too much. That commercial gets me every time! I got toward the end the first time and thought, “Oh no! Who’s gonna take care of this dog? What if he’s hungry? Where's he gonna go to the bathroom?!” LOL Crazy, I know. ;)
